ZAGREB ON 14 SEPT ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Mercator, a Slovene chain of shops, will open its first shopping centre in Zagreb on 14 September. The company invested 45 million German marks in building this centre which covers 40,000
square metres, near the cross-roads of Vukovarska and Heinzlova Streets, where Zagreb citizens will be offered 30,000 products. Mercator's first shopping centre in Croatia has already been opened in the coastal city of Pula, said the Mercator Hrvatska management's chairman, Petar Ivanovic, at a recent press conference. At the start of October this company will open its store in the coastal city of Split as well, and is planning to start constructing another two supermarkets in Rijeka and Zagreb in the near future. To date, Mercator has invested over 131 million German marks in the expansion of its chain in Croatia, and is planning to invest another 170 million by
