KOPER, Sept 7 (Hina) - Slovenia's police confirmed on Friday a large quantity of weapons was seized in the northern Adriatic seaport of Koper. Fifty tonnes of mainly infantry weaponry, used and of various origin, was discovered inside
four containers which arrived from Malaysia in August. Police arrested Helmut Mathe, a 50-year-old Austrian, at the Loibach border crossing with Austria, as the owner of the weaponry. It is believed the seized weaponry, which could equip 3,000-4,000 people, was intended for Kosovo or Macedonia.(hina) ha
