LJUBLJANA, Sept 4 (Hina) - The Ankaran naval base near Kopar will soon become the location for the first marine training of four NATO member-countries and five Partnership for Peace members, including Croatia. The "Cooperative
Engagement 2001" training exercise will be held from September 17 to 22, with the navies of France, Italy, Turkey, USA, Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Rumania and Slovenia participating. The exercise will focus on the inter-operability of the NATO navy and partner countries in securing against mines and search and rescue operations as part of the actions of support to missions of securing peace and humanitarian actions.
