ZAGREB, July 9 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Zlatko Tomcic said on Monday the Croatian government can count on a vote of confidence of the parliament, regardless, he said, "of the behaviour of the Croatian Social-Liberal Party
(HSLS) and their decision about the vote." Tomcic told reporters the parliament presidency had still not reached an agreement on when the vote of confidence in the government would take place, adding the parliament received the government's request for the vote on Saturday night. "We will probably decide that the vote be taken on Sunday, July 15, but there is a possibility that the issue will be postponed until the parliament's extraordinary session," Tomcic said. He repeated that the vote could not take place before July 15, given a constitutional regulation under which parliament can take such a vote only seven days after it receives a request for a vote of confidence.

confidence.
Asked about the stand of the Croatian Peasants' Party's (HSS)
parliamentary bench about the vote, Tomcic said HSS deputies would
reach an agreement on how to vote. He added he saw no reason why HSS
deputies would vote against their own government and the
application of the law adopted by the parliament itself.
