ZAGREB, July 5 (Hina) - Parliament on Thursday adopted amendments to the Crafts Act which facilitate the crafts business and encourage its development. The amended Act provides for the education of craftsmen through the Chamber of
Crafts. It envisages special conditions for opening crafts businesses in areas of special government concern and on the islands, where craftsmen with the required qualifications may open a business and do the master craftsman's certificate examination later. It also envisages giving foreign citizens the same right to open a crafts business. Parliament adopted in first reading a bill on the stimulation of small businesses which defines the goals, development programme, and measures of small business stimulation.
