ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - The chairman of the parliament's Committee for the Constitution, Rule Book and Political System, Mato Arlovic, said Friday a draft bill on the Croatian News Agency (HINA) would be forwarded into parliamentary
procedure next week. Arlovic told Hina that after a discussion, the bill would be included in the parliament's agenda in the first week of July. According to the bill, Hina would be a public institution, established by the Republic of Croatia, with guaranteed professional and independent activities. Its bodies would be a management council and manager. Five members of the council would be appointed and relieved from their duties by the Croatian parliament -- namely financial, legal and media experts and a Hina employee.
