SKOPJE, June 29 (Hina) - Interior Minister Ljubo Boskovski said on Friday Macedonia was disbanding the reserve police force in the wake of accusations by Social-Democratic Alliance leader Branko Crkvenski to the effect that Boskovski
had attempted a coup with Monday's protest of 100 reserve police and several thousand citizens. The reserve police will be reactivated once President Boris Trajkovski orders it, Boskovski told reporters A commission has been set up to investigate the motives of some protesters who behaved in an uncivilised manner, he said, adding the same people organised riots in front of the United States Embassy in 1999, at the time of NATO air raids on Yugoslavia. Boskovski also told reporters that one of several policemen seriously injured in Aracinovo died today. Residents still cannot enter the village which is being cleared of arms and explosives.(hina) ha sb
