KARLOVAC TO BE CLOSED BECAUSE OF MINE REMOVAL KARLOVAC, May 22 (Hina) - The Turanj-Tusilovic section (some 70 kilometres south of Zagreb) of the state road 'D-1' is closed for traffic from 08.00 am to 01.00 pm every day from 22 May to
8 June because of the removal of mines planted in the vicinity of this road. Experts of a German company "Doktor Koehler" started cleansing the area of mines on Tuesday morning and they are expected to comb 64,000 square metres. The police in Karlovac reported that the job would be discontinued only on 29 and 30 May (a national holiday) when cars could use this section. The traffic between Karlovac and the areas of Lika and Dalmatia will be directed via the 'D-23' state road and local roads in the period of the mine removal.(hina) ms
