SARAJEVO, May 10 (Hina) - Fourteen persons who were directly

police are still searching for the actual organisers of the
incidents, Douglas Coffman, spokesman for the U.N. Mission to

The U.N. Mission has information that the Republika Srpska police
have identified 34 persons who were involved in the incidents.
Fourteen of them have been questioned at a Banja Luka court, nine
have been sentenced to month-long imprisonment, four have been
sentenced to 20 days in prison and a minor has received a prison
sentence of seven days, Coffman told reporters.
The police have continued investigating the incidents, in which
several dozen Bosniaks were wounded, seven buses were burned and an
Islamic community building was seriously damaged. The
international community expects the Bosnian Serb authorities to
identify and punish the real perpetrators as soon as possible,
Coffman said.
He confirmed that the Trebinje police had identified and detained
four persons involved in last week's incidents in Trebinje when
thugs, just like in the case of Banja Luka incidents, prevented the
laying of the foundation stone for a local mosque.
The Trebinje police last night arrested four persons who attacked
and beat up the head of the regional Office of the High
Representative (OHR), Daniel Ruiz, Coffman said.
The police in Trebinje are still in a state of heightened alert.
