ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - At exactly 7pm today, 6,430 polling stations in Croatia were closed down. During the twelve hours Croatian citizens voted for several thousand councillors in municipal and city councils, Zagreb City Assembly
and county assemblies. By 4pm an average of 35 percent of voters voted in the elections. Four years ago, also at local elections, more than half of the electorate voted. Most of the voters went to their polling stations in Zagreb County (43 percent). Only 28.5 percent voted in Zagreb City. The least number of voters were registered in Vukovar-Srijem County, where only 27.2 people voted by 2pm today. County electoral commissions reported the elections passed mostly without incidents. Although in Prgomet, a town in Split-Dalmatia County, a voter, angry for not being on the list of voters, decided to take both ballot boxes and run. Police found the man and returned the boxes un
