DUBROVNIK, May 7 (Hina) - The main goal of the civic campaign for local elections "Election 2001" is to encourage as many voters as possible to participate in the elections and make them aware of their importance, especially as
regards the decentralisation of authority, Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) executive director Tin Gazivoda told reporters in Dubrovnik on Monday. Gazivoda said the HHO would launch a non-party election tour, which would set out from Dubrovnik today and visit 17 towns in Dalmatia and war-affected areas. He expressed concern about the dissatisfaction of young people with the authorities and called on them to go the polls and vote for a better future.(hina) rml
