SARAJEVO, May 10 (Hina) - Foreign ministries' political directors
of the most influential western countries and Russia today again
denounced the, as they put it, illegal and unconstitutional
proclamation of the so-called Croat self-rule in Bosnia-
Herzegovina and called on legally elected officials to take up
office in legal bodies of authority.
The Steering Board of the Implementation Peace Council in the
country supported today all measures against parallel Croat se-
rule authorities, as well as efforts to identify criminal elements
who turned the legitimate interests of the Croat community into
their hostages.
High representative Wolfgang Petritsch told reporters the
conclusions of the Steering Committee factually meant there will be
no negotiations with anybody representing the illegal structures.
Such illegal conduct must stop and there is no discussion about the
issue, he asserted, stressing the international community remained
prepared for dialogue about justified Croat requests. However,
this is only possible within legal government authorities and
legally elected officials.
