ZAGREB, April 26 (Hina) - The Association of Bosnian Croats
organised a round table conference in Zagreb at which
representatives of Bosnian Croats who are boycotting the work of
state bodies and criticising the policy of Croatian authorities
towards Bosnia-Herzegovina and the international community voiced
their views about the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the
Dayton peace accords.
The participants, including former Bosnian state official Martin
Raguz and Mostar-Duvno bishop Ratko Peric, hold the Dayton
Agreement has brought about peace, but does not do much for the
rights of Bosnian Croats.
This is also somewhat the fault of the international community
which is blamed for "hostile conduct" towards Croats. As examples
they cited unconstitutional electoral regulations and the so-
called tank banking (the breaking in of SFOR troops into the
Herzegovacka Bank in Mostar).
Representatives of the Croat self-rule called on an audit of the
Constitution so Croats could be secured the rights they deserve.
They offered dialogue to solve the problems of Croats in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
The proclamation of the Croat self-rule and the boycott of
government bodies of Bosnia-Herzegovina is contentious for Croats
gathered within parties and associations of the Croat
Coordination, for the Bosnian Federation government authority and
the international community, as well as the government in Croatia.
