Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is concerned over delays in the
establishment of new bodies of authority in Bosnia-Herzegovina and
insists on the immediate discontinuation of acts which hamper that
process, said Romanian Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana, on Tuesday
in Sarajevo at the end of his visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina, which he
toured as the current OSCE chairman.
At the end of the official talks he led with local officials and
representatives of international organisations, Minister Geoana,
said there should be no place in democratic processes for boycotts
or similar acts which hindered the implementation of the election
results.
We support the rights of constituent peoples of Bosnia to defend
their culture, language, religion and education, but all parties in
concern must respect commitment of acting inside the system and
with the participation in the elected bodies of authority, the
Romanian Minister added alluding to a crisis caused by the decision
of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH)
not to participate in the post-election processes.
He reminded that Bosnia was in a grave economic and social situation
and this could be changed only through the cooperation between
political parties and citizens.
