WASHINGTON, Jan 5 (Hina) - The new US ambassador to Croatia, Lawrence Rossin, should take over his office soon. Exactly at noon local time on Friday, Rossin took his oath at a ceremony in the State Department. Rossin was confirmed as
ambassador to Zagreb by Senate on December 15. Rossin is a career diplomat and has served in missions in Haiti, Spain and Kosovo. He has also held several offices in the State Department, where he was regional director for south-east Europe. He has also worked in the Council of National Security. Shortly after his appointment, Rossin said in an interview Croatia had the central role in the process of healing the wounds caused by conflicts in South-East Europe, as well as in the process of the region's drawing closer to the Euro-Atlantic community. Rossin believes one of his most important tasks is to find opportunities for new investments by US companies in Croatia and protect the interests of
