ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday handed credentials to Croatia's new ambassadors to Sweden and Macedonia, telling them they should focus on advancing economic relations with those countries. "We have
excellent relations with both countries. Political relations are on a high level, but it would be good to advance economic relations as well," said Mesic. Receiving the credential, the newly-appointed ambassador to Sweden, Branko Caratan, said it was also important to "develop relations with the European Union" given that Sweden assumes presidency over the Union in January. Croatia's new ambassador to Macedonia, Aleksandar Milosevic, said he was confident the two countries would find "a joint path and possibilities to intensify cooperation in culture, economy, and politics."
