ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - Japanese Ambassador to Croatia Keisuke Oba and Croatian Culture Minister Antun Vujic on Wednesday signed an agreement on a deed on donation of the Japanese Government to the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik,
worth 3.7 million kuna (close to DM1 million). The donation is earmarked for the supply of musical instruments and lighting equipment. The Japanese government did not choose Dubrovnik by accident, because it is familiar with Dubrovnik's role in trade, cultural and diplomatic history, Ambassador Oba said after the signing of the agreement. This is the third donation of the of the Japanese government to Croatia since 1998, Minister Vujic said and added that the deed on donation system had helped the Croatian government to pass a decision on the elimination of the Value Added Tax on foreign donations.(hina) it
