The NHS is dissatisfied with the new stand-by arrangement, as by
accepting such a deal, the government would bind itself, according
to information the unionists have, to change the Labour Law which
would result in cuts in severance pays and duration of notice.
According to projections made by this union federation, the
severance pay for a worker, who was 25 years in service and had an
average salary of 4,000 kuna, would be cut from 36,000 (EUR4860) to
22,800 kuna (EUR3080), NHS leader Kresimir Sever told reporters.
