Rugova most strongly condemned the incident and urged the
authorities to investigate it and bring the perpetrators to
justice.
The largest Kosovo Albanian party, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance,
and Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi, deplored the incident as well.
No terrorist act, including yesterday's, will stop Kosovo on its
path towards democracy, integration and civil peace, Rexhepi said
at a ceremony held on the occasion of the graduation of two new
generations of the Kosovo police.
Four of the 32 people who sought medical help after the blast have
remained in hospital.
The Kosovo police today continued an intensive investigation into
the explosion, which occurred in the Bill Clinton Square around
21.30, destroying a number of shops and cafes and damaging a dozen
cars.
International police forces have said that they have not made any
arrests connected with the explosion.
The spokesman for the police forces of the UN Mission in Kosovo
(UNMIK), Barry Fletcher, said the motive for the terrorist act was
still not known.
