Around 10am police used some dozen vehicles to block the company
exit, so unionists could not take out their busses with which they
intended to block one of the busiest cross-roads in the city.
Police did not use any force during the intervention.
The Union of Professional Drivers and Car Mechanics, which is
backing the "Croatia Bus" management, wanted to protest against the
actions of the New Union whose members have been blocking the
entrance into the company for a month.
The drivers are demanding that "the 30 bandits and non-workers" be
removed from the entrance so they could continue doing their jobs.
The unionists have announced they would undertake more radical
steps, even enter a conflict with the police if they try to prevent a
protest the next time.
