"The prime minister showed good will to introduce legal order in
'Croatia Bus', and this is what we demand," New Union Secretary
General Tomislav Kis told Hina after the talks with Racan.
Also present at the meeting were Justice Minister Ingrid Anticevic
Marinovic and Chief State Prosecutor Mladen Bajic.
Racan said the "Croatia Bus" case was a new challenge for the rule-
of-law and promised the government would do everything to legalise
the situation, Kis said.
On November 5 about 40 of 390 "Croatia Bus" workers blocked the
entrance to the company demanding the replacement of the current
management and appointment of a new one which would manage the
company until the end of an embezzlement trial of former director
Leon Sulic.
The management refutes accusations and claims that the majority of
"Croatia Bus" workers are satisfied with the situation in the
company to which "about 30 rebels" are causing tremendous losses on
a daily basis.
The management also accuses the protests of wanting to lead the
company to bankruptcy ion order that someone gains a very valuable
facilities in downtown Zagreb.
