PM DECLINES TO COMMENT ON OSCE REPORT UNTIL HE SEES OFFICIAL VERSION

ZAGREB, Nov 19 (Hina) - Premier Ivica Racan on Tuesday did not wish to comment on reports by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and OSCE because he had not yet seen their official versions. He reiterated that the government was willing to co-operate with international organisations and their representatives, and also said that he expected that the reports that concerned the Croatian government should be forwarded first to the government so that his cabinet should not find out about them from the media.
#L# Following a meeting of the leaders of the ruling coalition, Racan told reporters that there was no mention of Croatia's international position but that this would be discussed once the said reports were received and examined. The government is not concerned with Croatia's international position and we do not believe that this depends on just one question, for example the issue surrounding Bobetko. I do not believe that matters like that can seriously threaten Croatia's international position Racan said. Speaking about what was mulled at the meeting, Racan said the coalition party heads amongst else assessed that negotiations around Prevlaka were being conducted successfully. If some other minor matters are resolved we could soon have a protocol that would regulate a temporary regime so that everything will be clear relating to the withdrawal of the UN peace mission from Prevlaka which should happen before the end of the year, Racan said. He announced this would be one of the topics of Wednesday's talks with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. (hina) ms sp sb
