"People want to protect their property, as a member of the managing
board, Trpimir Sulic, ordered that buses be driven from the
company's premises," a union leader, Mario Ivekovic told
reporters.
The workers don not allow that the busses may be taken from the
premises of the company, as this is their assets, Ivekovic
explained on behalf of some 50 protesters who had previously let the
police, in keeping with a court order, lift the blockade.
Police officers and intervention police members, who de-blockaded
the entrance on Friday morning, did not intervene later when the
protesters again drove busses in front of the main entrance.
The protesters accuse the CEO, Leon Sulic, of many irregularities
such as financial wrongdoing, tax evasion, illegal take-over of
shares and embezzlement of 60 million marks (approximately 30
million euros) from the company for his personal benefits. They
insist on the replacement of the current board of managers.
