SISAK SISAK, Nov 21 (Hina) - Workers of Sisak Ironworks who began their march towards Zagreb in protest, at 1PM Thursday entered a conflict with members of the intervention police in downtown Sisak.

march towards Zagreb in protest, at 1PM Thursday entered a conflict
with members of the intervention police in downtown Sisak. #L#
Police used force, but the workers managed to break through the
first cordon, and after a brief jostling, they passed through the
second cordon at the entrance of the new Sisak bridge.
According to information at hand, several people have been lightly
injured and taken away by ambulance vehicles.
The Coordinating Body of Ironworks unions protested against police
using force.
The protest continues, and representatives of the union
Coordinating Body said that the workers would not disperse until
their wages are paid, as had been promised by Vice-Premier Slavko
Linic, and until the final decision on the fate and further work of
the Ironworks.
