ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - The leader of the Croatian Independent Democrats (HND), Zlatko Canjuga, on Friday distributed to reporters in parliament copies of his proposal that the parliament once again discuss the adoption of a new
defence law which would abolish military service.

Democrats (HND), Zlatko Canjuga, on Friday distributed to
reporters in parliament copies of his proposal that the parliament
once again discuss the adoption of a new defence law which would
abolish military service. #L#
The proposal will be forwarded to the President, Sabor President,
Prime Minister and the Defence Minister.
In his proposal Canjuga notes that Croatia is under no threat of war
and that it needs to be oriented towards peace, the building of good
neighbourly relations, demilitarisation, stability in Southeast
Europe, admission to NATO, and the fight against terrorism.
