ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - The ruling coalition leaders on Wednesday
debated a Constitutional Court report on the case of ICTY indictee
Gen. Janko Bobetko, and personnel changes in parliamentary
committees, the presidents of the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS)
and the Liberal Party (LS) said. #L#
HSS' Tomcic pointed to the need of bringing order into parliament
and its committees as the balance of power between the ruling
coalition and the opposition was "disrupted and halts parliament's
work and diminishes its efficiency".
Contrary to announcements in the media, Tomcic said he had not
spoken with Social Democratic Party (SDP) president Ivica Racan
about SDP-HSS conflicts. The issue will be addressed on Thursday,
he said.
LS president Zlatko Kramaric said his party supported the
Constitutional Court report on Bobetko, which he said restored
confidence in the functioning of the rule-of-law and won honours
for Croatia.
