SKOPJE, Nov 13 (Hina) - The Central European Initiative (CEI) is making big progress in reducing differences between developed and less developed member-countries. This was said at the opening of CEI's fifth economic forum in
Skopje.

making big progress in reducing differences between developed and
less developed member-countries. This was said at the opening of
CEI's fifth economic forum in Skopje. #L#
Huge progress has been made, the private sector is increasingly
stronger, and with the defusion of the situation in the region
cross-border investments are increasing, said Henry Russel, an
official of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,
the chief sponsor of the forum.
Of 17 CEI member-states, Italy and Austria are European Union
members. Other CEI members like the Czech Republic, Poland,
Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary will soon enter the Union.
The Macedonian chairmanship over the CEI will wrap up with this
three-day forum.
Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula is expected to take part in
an informal meeting of foreign ministers in Skopje on Thursday.
On Friday, Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic will attend the meeting of
his counterparts from other CEI members.
