ZAGREB POLICE ARREST FOUR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM TURKEY

ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Hina) - The Zagreb police on Tuesday night discovered four illegal immigrants from Turkey in a car with Varazdin registration plates near the crime police headquarters in Zagreb. #L# The illegals were discovered during routine traffic control when the police stopped an "opel omega" with Varazdin registration plates. In the car were also two Croatian citizens for whom the police found no evidence of involvement in human smuggling or other criminal acts, and released them. The police have pressed charges against the four illegals and they are awaiting a ruling by a Zagreb magistrate's court. The illegals, who entered Croatia from Yugoslavia, were travelling to Italy.
