The incident occurred when the international police asked the owner
of a restaurant in Priluze to close the restaurant, which was open
after midnight. The owner refused and a group of Serbs assaulted the
policemen, UNMIK said in a statement today.
Two principal attackers ran away and police are looking for them.
This was not the first time that local Serbs have attacked
international police in Kosovo. During protests in Kosovska
Mitrovica on April 8, local Serbs injured at least 22 international
policemen, mostly from Poland.
