PRISTINA, Nov 4 (Hina) - The inclusion of Kosovo in the preamble of the Constitutional Charter of Serbia and Montenegro as part of Serbia has caused fierce reactions by Kosovo Albanian political institutions and parties which demanded
that the UN mission in the province and international community take adequate measures.

the Constitutional Charter of Serbia and Montenegro as part of
Serbia has caused fierce reactions by Kosovo Albanian political
institutions and parties which demanded that the UN mission in the

The Kosovo institutions on Monday requested the UN Mission in the
province to react to the Constitutional Charter.
Kosovo Parliament President Nexhat Daci stated that the UNMIK
should react to Kosovo being included in the charter, and stressed
that no one could make decisions on behalf of the Albanians.
A high ranking UNMIK official stated that during his current visit
to Brussels the UN Civil Administrator to Kosovo, Michael Steiner,
would discuss the matter with the EU's High Representative for the
Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana.
Three leading Kosovo Albanian parties - the Kosovo Democratic
Alliance, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for
Kosovo's Future have warned that Kosovo's inclusion in the
charter's preamble could have serious consequences.
The representative of the Serb coalition "Povratak" in the Kosovo
parliament, Oliver Ivanovic, stated that Belgrade did not need to
seek anyone's permission with regard "to its own territory".
