ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - General Janko Bobetko's health condition
has not changed significantly, the general's personal physician,
Mijo Bergovec, told reporters after his patient's medical check-up
at his Zagreb home on Wednesday night. #L#
Bobetko is still receiving abundant therapy, Bergovec added.
An ECG machine, set up today, and running around the clock to
control arrhythmia and pacemaker functions, will be removed
tomorrow to see the effect of changed parameters of his pacemaker,
the doctor said.
He added that General Bobetko did not wish to be hospitalised, but
wanted to be treated at home.
A group of a dozen Homeland War veterans, who said they were there
only to provide support for the general, are still in front of
Bobetko's house.
They dismissed media speculation that they were guarding the
Bobetko house to provide resistance to a possible forceful handing
of the Hague tribunal's indictment to the general, or his arrest.
"We could not prevent this and it is not true that we are General
Bobetko's guard," one of the veterans said.
However, another said that "there are quite enough of us in the
vicinity to prevent a possible handing of the indictment."
