RIJEKA, Oct 11 (Hina) - Croatian Health Minister Andro Vlahusic announced that the government would settle all debts of hospitals amounting to around 820 million kuna until the end of this year and as of the start of the next year,
another financial model would be applied.

Institutions which will offer more services to citizens of the
working age in the afternoon will be listed as beneficiaries of the
budget in 2003, and those that fail to do so will be erased from the
list, Vlahusic said at a round table on the reform in the public
health system, organised by Croatian reporters who cover this
field.
At the round table, held in Rijeka, most heads of hospitals
expressed satisfaction with the projected funds for their
hospitals in 2003.
