Citizens" project. #L#
Representatives of parliament and the non-governmental sector
discussed their cooperation. In the future, this cooperation
should bring closer the standpoints of citizens' associations and
the legislative authority regarding changes to existing and the
passing of new regulations which should adequately define
important social issues.
The "Legislation and Citizens" project is co-ordinated by the
Croatian Helsinki Committee on Human Rights in cooperation with the
Amsterdam-based East West Parliamentary Practice Project non-
governmental organisation. The project gathers 22 Croatian NGOs
and focuses on the establishment of a permanent tie between NGOs and
the legislative authority.
