The reduction of KFOR is a reality, Valentin said in an interview
with Kosovo Television.
The number of KFOR troops has dropped from 40,000 to 30,000 since
last year, the French commander said.
Since 2001, KFOR and UNMIK have been conducting a joint strategy of
creating a safer atmosphere in Kosovo, especially in Kosovska
Mitrovica, and the strategy has been implemented, Valentin said.
He also stressed the importance of a drop in the number of
ethnically motivated murders.
