The central memorial service was on Saturday when Sarajevo
Archbishop Cardinal Vinko Puljic held the mass in Uzdol, calling on
the gathered to commit themselves to forgiving.
The UN war crimes tribunal's prosecution has so far accused only
Sefer Halilovic, on the grounds of his command responsibility, for
the massacre in Uzdol. At the time of that crime, Halilovic was the
Bosnian Army's chief-of-staff.
Halilovic is also held liable for the crimes the Muslim (Bosniak)
troops committed against villagers in Grabovica when they killed 32
Croat civilians on 9 September 1993 in that village outside
Mostar.
