ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - The number of unemployed persons registered at the Croatian Bureau of Statistics in August amounted to 379,745, which is 3,000 persons or 0.8 percent less than in July. This number, however is 2.9 percent
higher than in August 2001.

According to data of the Central Bureau of Statistics, 10,500
persons found jobs in August, which represents a 16.8 percent
increase as against the same period the year before.
