The number of vacancies for workers with university qualifications
dropped by 11.8 percent, for persons with secondary school
qualifications by 21.3 percent, for skilled and highly skilled
workers by 25.7 percent, for semi-skilled workers 16.2 percent, and
for non-skilled workers by 33.1 percent.
The drop in the number of announced vacancies is the result of
changes in legal regulations and is expected to continue. Under the
new law on employment mediation and unemployment rights, the
employer no longer has the obligation to report vacancies to the
Bureau.
According to the HZZ, the number of filled vacancies in July was
17,300, which is 5.9 percent more than last July. The number of
vacancies filled by semi-skilled workers increased the most, by
11.6 percent, while the number of those filled by non-skilled
workers increased the least, by 5.3 percent.
