"It is difficult to understand our politicians who take summer
vacations in Croatia while some Croatian MP's are at the same time
demanding their Sabor to deploy war ships to the Piran Bay, Jelincic
said at a press conference.
He claimed that Slovenia's politics towards Croatia was compliant
and that Foreign Minister Rupel was not using the "massive
documentation" referring to Slovenia's right to the Piran Bay.
Jelincic said that a conference on the division of the former
Yugoslav Adriatic is necessary so that countries that emerged with
the disintegration of Yugoslavia would not be damaged with
reference to the sea where the largest losers were Slovenia, BiH and
Yugoslavia.
Croatia is moving the demarcation line in the Piran Bay at the
detriment of Slovenia even though it was never sovereign on its own
on the sea, Jelincic said.
Last week Istrian county police reported that Slovene fishermen had
trespassed into Croatian territorial waters in Piran Bay on three
occasions. Slovene police claimed there were no incursions.
