The government granted the city of Rijeka to take out a 25.6 million
kuna-loan from Raiffeisenbank Austria in Zagreb for the
realisation of the city's capital projects.
The government also supported the town of Krizevci in rescheduling
its EUR87,431 loan with Zagrebacka Banka with a three-year
maturity.
The government today made a decision to establish a supervisory
committee for supervising and following the implementation of an
agreement between Croatia and the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development for the Social Protection
programme.
Croatia received a Japanese donation of 200,000 US dollars, and a
British deed of gift worth 3352,000 pounds for assistance in
preparations for the social protection programme.
The government initiated a process of signing a free-trade
agreement with Lithuania to improve overall trade and economic
relations between the two countries.
The government was submitted a report on talks held in Rome and
Vienna about solving the difficulties in exporting Croatian sugar
to Italy and Austria. The government said in the statement it hoped
the problem would be resolved favourably.
