The working bodies of the government were convened in the past
several days according to the schedule, and prepared several draft
acts and decisions for the government.
According to some previous announcements, the national parliament
is to hold its extraordinary session at the end of the next week,
when it is expected to take a vote of confidence in the new
government proposed by the prime minister designate Ivica Racan.
During this sitting, MPs will probably discuss also a
constitutional bill on the national minorities in the first
reading.
There is no information on the course of consultations between the
PM designate Racan and his potential political partners. Sources in
the government's offices assume that the composition of his new
cabinet will be known in a few days.
