Hoteliers expect the realisation of plans for this year: the annual
rise in the volume of business by 10 percent and an increase in the
financial turnover higher than 10 percent.
The current occupancy is satisfying, and although there are free
rooms in hotels, the annual occupancy rate in 2002 is likely to be
similar to occupancy rate in 2001, the association's secretary-
general, Vlado Galicic said.
This year, hoteliers invested about 150 million euros in the
preparations for the season and in the renovation of their
facilities.
The HUH advocates better co-ordination between hoteliers, travel
agencies, other subjects in tourism and local authorities in the
range of services offered to guests.
