cooperation with the HTZ. #L#
The plan envisages, among other things, the improvement of
Croatia's tourism and a more intensive promotion on the foreign
markets. It also notes the importance of encouraging the arrival of
hotel chains. The plan includes 60 market strategies which are to be
developed in the next three years, the most important ones
referring to the creation of new tourist products, including
cruises, Robinson Crusoe tourism, beach festivals, etc. It also
notes the importance of working on Croatian hospitality and the
authentic culinary offer.
Commenting on current tourism trends, Tourism Minister Pave Zupan
Ruskovic expressed satisfaction with tourism results in the first
six months of 2002.
The number of tourists rose by seven percent in the said period and
it is realistic to expect an annual increase in the physical
turnover of five percent, the minister said.
