The Montemitro-based Agostina Piccoli foundation requested that
Kraljevic intervene with competent Italian bodies to settle
problems in keeping with an Italian-Croatian agreement.
Under the 1998 document, the Molise Croats should receive some
EUR50,000 for their cultural activities annually.
The foundation said in the letter it had received only 30,000 in
2001, and had requested a much bigger sum for this year.
Kraljevic hoped the issue would be settled soon.
The ambassador recalled that the financing of Molise Croats'
programmes had already been discussed at an international
conference on June 15-16.
