countries - Croatia, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia - held a meeting in
Dubrovnik on Wednesday. #L#
They discussed possibilities for the enhancement of their
cooperation within this group of four countries and the enlargement
of the European Union.
Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec, deputy foreign minister of Croatia which
is co-ordinating the group this year, said they had considered the
implementation of joint projects and cooperation in the fields of
the transport, tourism, environmental protection and fight against
organised crime.
They highlighted the necessity of better connection between three
Adriatic ports: Trieste, Kopar and Rijeka.
Croatia won support for preparations for its participation in a
multiethnic military unit, based in Udine. The unit will carry out
humanitarian operations and peace missions.
