ZAGREB, July 11 (Hina) - A total of 1.45 million tourists visited Croatia in the first five months of 2002, which is 15 percent more than in the same period last year. The number of overnight stays was five million.

Croatia in the first five months of 2002, which is 15 percent more
than in the same period last year. The number of overnight stays was

According to the State Bureau of Statistics, most tourists visiting
Croatia in said period were foreigners, who accounted for one
million arrivals, an increase of 20 percent. Foreigners also
accounted for most overnight stays - 3.8 million or 25 percent
more.
Domestic tourists accounted for 439,700 arrivals, which is six
percent more, and 1.1 million overnights, an increase of three
percent.
Most foreign arrivals were from Germany (50 percent more than in the
same period last year), Italy, and Slovenia.
