Jakovcic told Hina that he had notified President Mesic about his
party's stand on the participation in the future government.
"On that occasion President Mesic said the IDS's joining in the
Croatian government would be of exceptional importance, as it
would, in Mesic's opinion, bring stability to the new ruling
coalition," Jakovcic said.
Saturday's meeting between President Mesic and Jakovcic was
informal, while official talks on the matter are scheduled for
Monday in Zagreb.
