Antunovic, together with Croatian Health Minister Andro Vlahusic
and Deputy Education Minister Ivan Vavra, attended the three-day
session of ECOSOC in New York.
According to Antunovic, the benefit for Croatia from this session
is an opportunity for testing its ideas at an international
meeting.
It is also very important that Croatia's Ambassador to the United
Nations, Ivan Simonovic, chairs the ECOSOC. This enables Croatia to
have a more noticeable role in the United Nations, Antunovic said.
"In this way Croatia confirms itself as a country able and ready to
be a factor of settling open issues, including those in which it is
directly interested such as Prevlaka," she added.
