ZAGREB, June 17 (Hina) - Croatian Vice-Premier Goran Granic
announced that the sale of seven percent of shares of the Croatian
Telecom (HT) company to current and former employees should begin
at the beginning of autumn, the Croatian Postal Union and Croatian
Telecommunications Union reported on Monday. #L#
Granic and representatives of the two unions held a working meeting
on Friday to discuss the realisation of employees' rights to seven
percent of HT's shares of nominal value of around EUR75 million.
The biggest problems in the entire process are securing loan
issuers to people interested in purchasing the shares, the
distribution and amount of discount, as well as the setting of the
price of a share, the unions said in a statement.
The government is interested in reaching as high a price as
possible, and workers in as low a price as possible and other
benefits.
The government and the unions will be holding negotiations which
should result in the quick sale of the seven percent of HT shares,
the statement said.
