"We also agreed to forward all documentation and all files on
persons, who we will definitely not prosecute," Granic said. He
said that those persons were from Yugoslavia, unavailable to the
Croatian judiciary, such as Kadijevic, Mladic, Karadzic and
others.
Granic led a Croatian delegation in the talks with ICTY Prosecution
officials. The delegation included Croatian Justice Minister
Ingrid Anticevic-Marinovic, Head State Prosecutor Milan Bajic and
his deputy Petar Puliselic, and the head of the government's office
for cooperation with the ICTY, Orsat Miljenic.
During the visit of ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte to Croatia
in May, Granic and del Ponte agreed that the ICTY would hand to
Croatia all evidence at its disposal against some indictees who
will be tried before Croatian courts.
"I expect a working conference of the two prosecutor's offices
(ICTY's and Croatia's) to be held in the near future, which will
focus on investigations and the results of these investigations,"
he said.
Granic said they also discussed the witness protection programme.
The Croatian delegation will return to Zagreb late Tuesday
evening.
