Granic calls on the branch associations of employers and unions to
negotiate the regulation of labour rights and obligations, taking
into account the real conditions of the market and the specific
interests of both sides, the government's Office for Social
Partnership said in a statement on Thursday.
Over the next ten days employers and unions should agree on a
protocol for collective negotiations which should help in the
settlement of labour litigation and prevent black labour.
Next week a tripartite task force should start a detailed analysis
of 24 points of a bill of Labour Act amendments on which
representatives of the government, employers, and unions have
agreed on in principle, the head of the Office for Social
Partnership, Vitomir Begovic, told Hina.
The contentious points of the bill, i.e. notice periods, severance
pays, the definition of the small employer, and solidarity
contributions, should be discussed subsequently by a broader task
force, Begovic said.
